About the Journal

The Actual Problems of the Present  (ISSN 2312–4784) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal founded by Bolashaq Academy (Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan). The journal is dedicated to publishing contemporary research in the fields of social sciences and humanities, promoting scholarly dialogue, and strengthening international academic cooperation among researchers from Kazakhstan and other countries.

It operates under the principles of Open Access, ensuring free and broad dissemination of scientific knowledge at both national and international levels.

The journal was established in 2013 and has been published in print since its foundation. The electronic version of the journal has been published since 2018. Since that time, the journal content has been made freely available under the principles of Open Access.

Starting from Volume 49, Issue 3 (2025), the journal began assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to individual scholarly articles. Since that issue, articles have been published on the journal website as separate items with individual DOI records and dedicated landing pages. Issues published before Volume 49, Issue 3 (2025) are archived as complete PDF volumes and do not contain individual article DOIs.

Starting from Volume 51, Issue 1 (2026), the journal has revised its scope and is now focused on the publication of research in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The journal currently accepts manuscripts in philology, cultural studies, law, education, psychology, economics, management, philosophy, sociology, and history.

The journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December). The journal uses a continuous volume numbering system. Each quarterly issue is assigned a separate volume number. Therefore, four volumes are published within a calendar year. This numbering system has been applied consistently since the journal was established to ensure continuity of the journal archive.

Registered by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan (25 September 2015, No. 15583-Ж).
